Said founder Christina Paul, “The idea of THE COMMA gallery is to encourage people to pause, to take a breath, to engage with art. To create a space for a larger conversation about art. We hope that the COMMA gallery will accomplish that and much more. We have lots of plans and are very excited about it all!”

A portion of the premises will serve as the studio for Tami Fuller, who will occupy the rear of the building as Blubird Studio, formerly of 21 Elm Street, in the hopes that the collaboration will continue to promote the values of accessible fine art and education that the community has come to expect from Elm Street. “This place has been like a home to me since I began working in the arts in East Aurora, and it means so much to me to be given the opportunity to create something that empowers and provides community to other artists working here among us that may be underserved or would benefit from support.”

Liz Birardi hopes that this will give more of the artists working in East Aurora and the surrounding area a greater chance at getting in front of the public. “There are so many talented artists in the area. Showcasing artists benefits these artists as well as the greater community.”
