PASSAGES, PORTALS, POSSIBILITIES is the first open call group exhibition at THE COMMA FINE ART GALLERY. Featuring 42 artists from across Western New York and beyond, the show explores ideas of transition, transformation, and the in-between. Works suggest physical or metaphorical gateways, liminal spaces, connections between realms, timelessness, and pathways to different realities.

The opening reception was a full and vibrant evening, with guests engaging in conversation, exploring the work, and casting votes for the People’s Choice Award. Through painting, photography, mixed media, and sculpture, the exhibition offers a wide range of perspectives on movement, place, and possibility.

Our June CONVO, BETWEEN PROCESS AND POSSIBILITY, features exhibiting artists Laura Viapiano, Tom Makovitch, Jan Agati Abbarno, Richard Rockford, and Paul Brandwein. Together, they’ll reflect on how they choose their medium, how materials shape their process, and how that relationship evolves over time.
