PAT PENDLETON
Life is a matter of choice and chance, as is the process of painting. An expressive physical act--not so different from dancing or making music--the discovery and struggle found in layering materials, assembling color, shape, texture, and mark allows me to intentionally find a reflection of this continuous present of time and place where we all find ourselves. Titles are assigned intuitively and aim to offer the viewer more information to enter the work.
