MARK SEVERSON
I am an artist, scientist and educator living in Buffalo New York, working in photography and alternative-process printing methods. In college, I became interested in photography as an artistic complement to my scientific work in chemistry and molecular spectroscopy. I am most interested in landscapes, both urban and natural. I prefer traditional photographic processes, using primarily film cameras and making traditional hands-on prints in silver-gelatin and in alternative processes such as platinum/palladium and salted paper printing.

Mark Severson is an artist, scientist and educator living in Buffalo New York. His work primarily involves photography of the natural and urban landscape. He uses mostly traditional film photography and prints in silver gelatin, platinum/palladium, and other traditional, hands-on processes such as salted paper, kallitype, and cyanotype.
